Wittner Fabrice

Wittner Fabrice is a French photographer who specialises in street photography. His work is very interesting because he seems on some to incorporate what looks like work by Banksy which I believe makes his work look a lot more interesting and different to most other street photography around.

This is probably one of the best, if not the best image of Fabrice's that I have seen. The light from the sun in the background just lightens up the image and makes it really intriguing. What I truly love about this image is that it has been taken towards the end of the day, so the sun is quite low down in the image and it doesn't look overpowered by the sunlight it is just right. The fact that it is a clear day is also something about the image that is vital in taking this image from a good image to the brilliant and strong image that it is.

This is one of the images that I mentioned in my description above that incorporates what looks like work by Banksy. This I find quite interesting as not many photographers include other artists in their own work. This is what in my opinion makes this an interesting photo to look at. It might be something that I would attempt and some of these but I believe that I would find this difficult because I would need to find the piece of art to add in and then find a suitable setting for it.

Looking back at all of Wittner's work I believe that his work would inspire me when it comes to my own work but I don't think I will be attempting these sorts of images.

Photo Shoots

My plans for my photo shoots are to do them over weekends when I am not in college and to try and get at least 5 images that I feel are really strong images that could be considered for final images. I will make sure I do at last three photo shoots this will then give me plenty of images to choose from to use as final images.

These sorts of images are the types of images that will be attempting to take pictures off when I do my photo shoots over the coming days. The main reason that these will be the sorts of images I will take pictures of is because these were the highest praised images of my initial photo shoot that I that I did in the first week of this project. I am likely to try a get different types of pictures as well not just like the one seen here as it will allow me to have a wide variety of images that I can select as final images as having just one style of images wouldn't allow me to have a major choice of differing images to use as finals when it comes to selecting these.

I may also try and get some images that are quite similar to this one as well as this was also an image that was highly praised. But like the image above I will not just be taking photos like this or the one above I will not just want but need a wide variety of images for my finals. These are simply two types of images to show what sort of images I will plan to get, but there will be many more that I actually do get.

First photo shoot

My first photo shoot was part of a task that we were set to out and take 36 street photographs, this wasn't the best photo shoot as I wasn't able to get a camera so I had to use the camera on my phone to take the photos so this didn't quite work the way I would have wanted it to. The photos were terrible I did get a couple of decent photos that I am happy with. I believe that if I had a camera I would have been able to go out and capture the images the way I would have wanted to capture them.

This image I believe is one of the better images that I took during the photo shoot mainly due to the fact that I like how the image shows what is going on in the streets at the time of the photo shoot. I also like the differing colours in the shot as the pavement is brown which quite a dark, dull sort of colour whereas the scaffolding is yellow which is a bright, uplifting colour and there is also the bluey green colour of the bus is quite interesting as well as it is a very different colour to the pavement and scaffolding as it is isn't a similar colour to the of the other items.

This image is probably my favourite image from the entire shoot mainly because it shows something that normally doesn't happen in Burton and it doesn't happen in most towns unless they are by the beach. This is personally something that I have never seen before in Burton so it was something that I have to take a picture of, that is what I believe street photography is about finding something unusual and to photograph and I believe that is what I have done with this photo.

Looking over all the photos I took during the shoot these are by far the best images and I do feel that had some of the image been taken on a proper camera and not just on my phone I feel that the images might have looked really good, I fell that I was on the right track with the images.
